Commemorating the visit of the Imperial couple to the French national porcelain manufactory on 8 October 1896, the front with Nicholas & Alexandra in profile, the reverse with a French inscription. Contained in its original leather fitted box, the top stamped in gilt “Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres. 8 Octobre 1896.” Diameter of plaque: 3 1/2 in. (8.9 cm).
